What is Cleartype
ClearType is a software technology developed by Microsoft that improves the readability of text on existing LCDs (Liquid Crystal Displays), such as laptop screens, Pocket PC screens and flat panel monitors. With ClearType font technology, the words on your computer screen look almost as sharp and clear as those printed on a piece of paper.
Using Cleartype Text Tuner
Cleartype text tuner is a new tool in the Windows 7 Operating System. While the option to enable cleartype technology has been present from the times of Windows XP, Windows 7 takes this to a new dimension by offering to not just enable this technology but also to let you fine tune it to your exact likes. To get started click the Windows orb in the bottom left corner of your screen and type Cleartype as shown in the following screen
Click the “Adjust ClearType Text” option that comes up. You will see the following screen
From this point onwards simply follow the prompts to configure your Windows 7 Laptop exactly the way you would like it to!
