Botched McAfee anti virus update causes machines to shut down and crash!!

It has been wildly reported that a botched update by one of the leading anti viruses “McAfee” is causing Windows XP based machines to shut down and eventually crash!

This latest update causes McAfee anti virus to falsly detect the presence of a virus. This false detection then triggers a chain of uncontrolled events which eventually lead to some crticial Windows XP files being deleted from the user’s computers.

    Really interesting article. Proves even large companies make mistakes. Have a problem with my XP laptop running McAfee. Have taken laptop to other large high street PC companies in the past and have not got a good level of customer service. Friends have used BritishPCRepairs.co.uk in the past and say you have a wonderful level of service and great value for money. Great article and i will be emailing you straight away.     What a major mistake by McAfee. Im having the issues which you talked about in your article.

    Called you this morning about looking at my laptop. (Was shocked you don’t charge for call out and analysis of the problem. also was pleasantly surprised as most companies charge you a base rate).
