SONY Laptop's Broken Power Socket
It is not uncommon for SONY Laptop's or SONY Vaio laptop's power sockets to become
lose or wiggly over a period of time. Often users end up pushing the wire in a bit
strongly which then breaks the power socket. We are able to replace these broken
sockets with brand new ones. The usual price for this job is around £88 all-inclusive!
SONY Vaio does not start
Recently a lot of SONY Vaio laptops which are only around 15 month or so old have
come into our workshop with a common problem. They fail to start. Most common symptoms
are
- Laptop shows the SONY Logo then says "Starting Windows" then get stuck there.
- Laptop shows the SONY Logo then says "Starting Windows" but then suddenly switches
off on its own then starts again and repates this cycle.
- Laptop shows the SONY Logo then says "Starting Windows" then suddenly shows a weird
blue screen and shuts down and restarts on its own.
In all such cases we found that the hard drive in the laptop was going bad. The
fix was to replace the hard drive with a new one and then install Windows on the laptop again.
The total "all-inclusive" cost of such repairs (including
the cost of the hard drive, labour, collection and delivery) is usually around £114. We were always able to
save our user's precious data in all such cases.
